Dr. Wood has more than 30 years experience in energy systems research, development and demonstration. He is a fellow of both the American Society of Mechanical Engineers and the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration, and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE). Dr. Wood was a founding member of the Solar Rating and Certification Corporation (SRCC) and served as the executive director until 2005.
Dr. Wood has been the principal investigator for more than 55 projects funded by US DOE, State of Arizona, State of Nevada, ASHRAE, NSF, Public Utilities, and Industry. He has supervised the research of 57 MS and 19 PhD students. His research has been reported in 125 publications and numerous research reports. He has supervised more than 300 energy assessments with energy conservation recommendations for schools, public buildings and manufacturing facilities.
Denis Donovan - President
Denis Donovan has over 20 years of engineering experience focused primarily in the field of power generation and its use for heavy industry. He was a founding principle of the Energy Assessment Center in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Nevada, Reno. Additionally he has worked to set up the Nevada Energy Team, the Nevada Office of the Industries of the Future, the Renewable Energy Project of Nevada, and the Facility Operator Certification for Utility Systems (FOCUS) program.
Denis speaks throughout the State of Nevada on Energy Efficiency and has been trained in the DOE Best Practices for Energy Efficiency. He has worked on renewable energy projects for off grid utilization as well as modeling techniques for both renewable energy and large energy systems. He has performed over 120 energy assessments for industry and commercial buildings.

LEED AP
SES employs a full-time, dedicated LEED AP. Our LEED AP provides project assessment and feasibility reports, submittal and documentation review to ensure accuracy and completeness, credit and template troubleshooting support, and complete project management services. SES provided LEED project management for the Lexus of Las Vegas LEED EB Gold Certification (first in Nevada) and is currently working on three other LEED certification projects.
